About me
Lisa Ranallo is a School Counseling Consultant at ESC-20. She provides resources, professional development, and support to the school counselors serving nearly half a million students in the region. This is her 27th year as an educator; she began her service teaching students in grades 5-8 for five years. After graduating with her MA in Counseling from UTSA, she became an elementary school counselor, working with K-5 students for two years, before she transitioned to high school counseling, where she stayed for 16 years. Lisa is a trainer of Youth Mental Health First Aid, AS+K? About Suicide to Save a Life, and Psychological First Aid for Schools and a Certified Coach through the National Center for School Mental Health. She has presented for local and state organizations on topics that include working with students in foster care and cultural bias in school counseling.
